Construction work at the Danzermühl hydropower in final phase

In recent months, the reconstruction of the Danzermühl hydropower plant has made massive headway. The middle of the year witnessed the completion of the special civil engineering work and the related excavation supports. Then, at the beginning of November, the intensive building work of the summer reached its climax with the lifting of the turbines into the powerhouse by two huge hydraulic cranes. Turbine installation and encapsulation will continue until Christmas, after which work will commence on the interior of the power plant and the installation of the technical equipment. From May 2019 onwards, the power plant will then supply Laakirchen Papier AG with clean energy.
